The PW3 Camshaft is designed by Peter Williams, the former works Norton Race Department chief engineer and No 1 rider.

The cam is based upon the best of all the configurations used during the John Player Norton era of 1971-1974.

It is manufactured in chilled cast iron form, the most successful method found during the J.P.N. days.  No other Norton Twin Camshaft is manufactured to such a high degree of accuracy, nor designed by a more qualified engineer.
